After losing 1-0 to Morocco in their opening match of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), dancehall artist Stonebwoy is certain that Ghana will beat Gabon today.
“We refuse to have a poor day today,” Stonebwoy said in his latest tweet, attempting to quiet those who doubt the Black Stars going into the second Group C encounter.
The rapper referred to the match as a “done thing” for the Ghanaian squad, pleading with the “souls” of late President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and Jerry John Rawlings to help them win.
He also prayed to the late Queen Mother of Ejisu, Yaa Asantewaa, for the squad to be blessed with the spirit of bravery to overcome their opponents.
He tweeted saying ‘‘ We refuse to have a bad day today in the name of Kwame Nkrumah and JJ Rawlings spiced with Yaa Asantewaa.. in Jesus name. Amen! #BlackstarsWin’‘.
His tweet comes after former Ghana Black Stars captain, Anthony Baffoe, joined the Black Stars team at their training grounds in Cameroun to give them morale-boosting support.
